2007 Poster Contest

The Green Party of Suffolk invites everyone to showcase their artistic talent and their commitment to ending the War in Iraq by entering this poster contest. The contest will help us to achieve our goal of ending the US War on Iraq and brining our troops home immediately.

There is a youth category for those 17 and younger, and an adult category for those 18 and older. The winners in each catagory will each receive a $100 prize.  We hope you will participate in this worthwhile event and look forward to working with you!

Please read the poster contest rules carefully, as only posters that meet the contest rules will be considered.  All artwork submitted becomes the property of the Green Party of Suffolk, and may be reproduced.

Eligibility: Everyone is eligible. 

Theme: End the Iraq War – Bring the Troops Home

Poster Requirements: Posters must be the contestant's own original artwork. Copyrighted characters (such as Superman) or copyrighted clip art will not be accepted.

Materials: Contestants may use any media. Keep in mind most posters will likely be on public display, and should be easy to see or read.

Size & Layout: Minimum: 8" x 11"  Maximum: 18" x 24"

Judging Procedure: Each poster must have the Release Form securely fastened to the back of the poster. A poster not accompanied by a completed Release Form will not be eligible for further judging.

The posters, with Release Forms, must be mailed or delivered by March 1, 2007 to:

Judging Criteria:
1. Clear message conveyed by the text and artwork;
2. The poster theme listed above is addressed;
3. Creativity, originality and artistic quality;
4. Visual clarity - easily read.

The results of the contest will be announced at the Green Party of Suffolk St Patrick's Day fundraiser. Attendance is not required.

I hereby certify that this poster was created entirely by the contestant above and is the contestant’s original artwork and that there are no copyrighted images used.  I agree that it may be offered for public display or publication.  I understand that the poster becomes the property of the Green Party of Suffolk and may be reproduced. The only information that will be released is the contestant's name, age, and hometown. A parent or Guardian's signature is required for contestants under 18.
